The Community Assistance Program(CAP) is designed to help BC social assistance recipients who have been excused indefinitely from the obligation to look for work with supports that will enable them to live healthier and more satisfying lives. The CAP counselors at KES work one-on-one with people that have been referred by the Ministry to help them improve their lifeskills, become more involved in the community, overcome personal barriers, and access training and other supports.
Employment is not an expectation under CAP but some of our clients have happily moved in that direction and found a whole new meaning in life.
Intake is continuous.
