Traction – For Youth

Kes is offering a program called Traction. Youth participants (age 30 and under) will be paid while attending six-weeks in the classroom and 12 weeks of work experience will follow. They’ll learn all sorts of cool stuff including how to find and maintain a job! We can help youth prepare for the job market by providing employability and life skills training through classroom and experiential learning activities. This program includes:

  • 6 weeks of paid workshops (class time)
  • 12 weeks of paid work experience
    • $13.85/hr
  • Workshops/certificates include:
    • Self-Awareness
    • Career Exploration
    • Creative Expression
    • First Aid
    • Food Safe
    • WHMIS
    • SuperHost
    • Microsoft Excel + Publisher
  • Guest Speakers
    • Employers
    • Community organizations
    • Cool and/or awesome people
