Kes is offering a program called Traction. Youth participants (age 30 and under) will be paid to attend more than 500 hours of combined classroom learning and work experience. You’ll learn all sorts of cool stuff including how to find and maintain a job! We can help you prepare for the job market by providing employability and life skills training through classroom and experiential learning activities.
You will attend 2 weeks of paid workshops (5 days/week). This will be followed by 10 weeks of combined work experience and class-time after which your work experience will ramp up to full time (24 hrs./week) for 8 weeks. This program includes:
- A wage of $13.85/hr
- Workshops/certificates including:
- Career Exploration
- Creative Expression
- First Aid
- Food Safe
- Microsoft Excel + Publisher
- Guest Speakers
- Community organizations
- Cool and/or awesome people
