Got a business idea that you totally believe in?
If you have an idea you’ve been working on for a while but want to amp it up.
If you are hustling on the side of your job and would like your part-time gig to be your full-time future.
If you just want to get some new back-end skills so your business is more efficient and your focus is more effective.
If you know that self-employment is right for you but need stable income until your idea is producing a profit.
Then STREAM 2 might be right for you.
KES is offering an 8 week self-employment program and we are excited to assist Creston Entrepreneurs in taking their business idea forward.
This program is focused on business development. It is designed for individuals that have a viable business idea and now need to understand the nuts and bolts of running a company. Class is held at KES 3 days a week. It is based on a mix of in and out of class learning that will support you in applying the principles of business operations, sales & marketing, and bookkeeping. We are integrating a reversed class model where attendees focus on the theory out of class and come prepared to apply the principles. The goal is to have you learn by doing so that you actually have your bookkeeping started, your operations plan in practice, and your sales processes tested during the course.
This program will have an emphasis on:
- Creating an executive summary
- Sales structures
- Using Microsoft Excel for business
- Business operations
- Business financing/bookkeeping
- Technology for business (social media marketing, online sales, etc.)
- And more…
This program will offer in-class and independent work time.
Participants will also be able to access supports such as:
- Up to $750 for training/courses
- Access to other business resources/training as needed
- Financial assistance for mileage/fuel expenses
