? Post- secondary diploma/certificate in a relevant field and experience supporting children, youth and families.
? Training in child/adolescent development, trauma informed interventions, collaborative problem solving preferred
? Knowledge of MCFD system and CFCSA Act
? Current Criminal Record Check
? First Aid Certificate
? BC Driver’s license and abstract
? Reliable vehicle
? Brain Story Certification preferred (www.albertafamilywellness.org)

Outreach workers provide emotional/educational support to children, youth, and their families through strengths based/trauma informed interventions that follow a psycho-educational model. This position provides guidance and support to parents, children and youth who are gaining basic independent living/life skills, social/emotional/regulation and parenting skills to meet their goals and improve their situation. Services are provided in various locations including VCS offices, schools, homes and the community.
