The right applicant will need to hold a current Level 3 OFA ticket. The project will require a solid knowledge of rapid transport patient packaging and mobile care.
This position will also require a working knowledge of the WorkSafeBC regulations and Occupational Health and Safety documentation. Computer skills and familiarity with Word and Excel will be an asset.
A working knowledge of heavy construction will round out the skills needed.
This position will be part time Safety Coordinator/First Aid, and part time labor. The duties of the Safety Coordinator will be the primary role, but there will be time each day for general laboring duties to be performed.
As Safety Coordinator, the successful applicant will report to the Site Superintendent and the Safety Manager, ensure safety documentation is complete and organized for audits, conduct weekly safety talks with the crew on relevant OHS topics, conduct monthly site inspections, conduct site orientations for new hires and visitors, and participate in JOHS meetings.
