Requirements Extensive knowledge of the Creston Valley and Kootenay area
Business administration certificate or management experience in a related field
Financial management experience in a corporation or non profit
High degree of competence in Quickbooks
Motivated self starter who works well under limited supervision
Exceptional customer service skills
Good negotiation and coordination skills
Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines
Organized, efficient, resourceful and dependable
Good communication skills written and spoken
Enthusiasm for working with people

Duties Directs the day to day operations of the chamber
Implements policy and goals of the board
Has a good working knowledge of board governance
Sets program and service goals through the development of an annual business plan
Works with the board to make the chamber a leader in the community
Organizes events and educational activities
Supervises asset management - maintenance contracts and upkeep of the building
Develops and maintains website and Facebook pages
Prepares the annual operating budget
Maintains sound bookkeeping practices
Participates in networking and community relations activities
