Requirements As a premier wedding and event venue in the East Kootenays, we are looking for a talented chef to continue our tradition of providing exceptional cuisine to our guests. This full-time position will begin in Feb. 2020 as a 3 month, hourly contract and then transition into a permanent, full-time, salary position from May 1 – Oct. 31, 2020.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a chef
• Sous Chef
• Ability to develop a diverse, original menu
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• FoodSafe Level 2
• Must have valid drivers license & access to vehicle
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

Duties • Develop a gourmet menu that emphasizes fresh, local ingredients while operating within food cost targets
• Coordinate, train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring timely delivery of meals
• Adapt menus by keeping record of ingredients based on respective food allergies for each event
• Showcase calm leadership under pressure – multi-tasking and solving problems with a positive attitude and even temper
• Maintain a clean, efficient and safe kitchen environment
• Track inventory, store food safely and order ingredients and supplies as necessary
• Other duties as required
