The SHIFT Program is a paid employment program for those who have suffered lasting emotional and physical impacts that create barriers to getting and keeping employment caused by past negative experiences.
SHIFT helps you re-enter the workforce by exploring what sort of career you might be good at, exploring healthy ways to talk to people face to face, conquering anxiety around interviews, and strengthening confidence as clients develop coping skills while focusing on their strengths.
You’ll learn computer skills, make connections in the local labour market, upgrade your skills, and research employers.
This program offers a participant allowance based on attendance. Morning and afternoon sessions run for 3 hours each and are paid at $30 per session. Partial attendance is not prorated and the weekly maximum is $300 ($60 day x 5 days).
